Timberborn is a post-apocalyptic city-builder currently in Early Access for PC and Mac that gives the player control over a settlement of highly intelligent beavers trying to survive incoming droughts.
I came to the project in September of 2020, around a year before the Early Access release. As a Junior Game Designer my main tasks included balancing the mechanics already in-game, prototyping (and sometimes implementing) new mechanics, creating new content in-engine and in-game (such as coming up with new crops or resources or creating building prefabs to be as game-ready as possible while the 3D models are being created).
Design wasn't the only part of my job, as I also took part in bug-fixing and coding new content when it was within my coding capabilities. Additionally, I also was the main person doing livestreams for the company on Twitch and other livestreaming services and recorded videos for their Youtube channel. To showcase my wide variety of skills, I even occasionally did sound design.
